Did you know that bacteria can’t be seen, smelled or tasted and can make you sick? Cooking can kill most harmful bacteria living on food.
Help your parents fight bacteria by reminding them of these cooking tips:

Make sure meat is cooked all the way through. If it is pink in the middle it is not done.

Use a food thermometer to check the temperature of the food. Sometimes you can’t tell if the food is cooked all the way just by how it looks.

Cook eggs until both the yolk and white are firm. Never eat foods with raw eggs, like cookie dough!
