Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving and your heart beating faster.

Many people think the only physical activities are sports, like soccer and basketball.

Sports are great, but being active is anything that gets you up and doing something fun!

Being active is also:

taking your dog, cat, or parents on a walk

riding your bike with a friend

playing tag at recess

dancing to your favorite song

and cleaning your room.

Remember, anything that gets you off your chair and moving is an activity!
